The Role:

As the UK Systems Accountant, you will provide expert support for financial systems while driving process improvements, enhancing reporting capabilities and supporting the successful delivery of finance projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing SAP and finance systems support, including troubleshooting month-end issues.
• Coordinating and delivering enhancements across SAP FI/CO and Joint Venture Accounting (JV) processes.
• Reviewing and improving financial reporting, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Representing Finance on systems and transformation projects, supporting the implementation of new solutions.
• Monitoring finance data quality and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Delivering training and ongoing support to end users, promoting the effective use of SAP.
• Building strong relationships across Finance, IT and the wider business to support continuous improvement.

About You:

You'll be an experienced finance systems professional with a strong understanding of accounting processes and SAP, combined with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree or equivalent professional experience, with additional accounting or systems qualifications beneficial.
• Extensive experience working with SAP ERP systems, particularly SAP FI/CO and Joint Venture Accounting (JV).
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge, ideally gained within the energy or oil and gas sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
