TIC Accountant - VR/32804
We are partnering with a growing and innovative business to recruit a permanent Accountant to join its Finance Team. Based in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire, this role offers the flexibility of remote working alongside occasional office attendance. Supporting financial operations across multiple entities, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, delivering month-end reporting, preparing reconciliations, and providing insightful financial analysis. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help drive process improvements and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities. This opportunity is ideal for a part-qualified, newly qualified, or experienced Accountant seeking long-term career development.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly within the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments as part of month-end reporting activities.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Support the production of monthly management accounts and provide analysis on financial performance and variances.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data and insight to support decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Support intercompany accounting activities and resolve reconciliation issues where required.
- Assist with indirect tax reporting and compliance obligations.
- Provide information and supporting documentation during audit processes.
- Monitor receivables, payables and cash flow activity, helping to identify and resolve outstanding balances.
- Review financial data to highlight risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
