Welder - VR/31399
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore services provider for a Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Aberdeen on a temporary to permanent contract. Working under the Workshop Lead, you’ll carry out repairs, inspections, and fabrication work on offshore CCUs and tanks to DNV 2.7-1 standards. This role suits candidates with strong welding and fabrication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and independently.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Carry out repairs to offshore CCU’s and tanks.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU.
- Document trip inspection (includes electronically).
- Carry out visual inspection on all CCU’s (including inspection of lifting gear).
- Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene.
Applicants to this role require
- Prior welding experience.
- Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016).
- Basic fabrication experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1.
