Workshop Supervisor (Diesel Engines / Fluid Pumps) - VR/31450
Responsible for the following tasks and jobs of the company’s operational activities. The role encompasses the preparation of reports the delivery, installation phases and compilation of supporting documentation. Additionally, the role will support the Operations and Management Team.
Key Responsibilities and Authority:
- Promoting safety-at-work in accordance with Company, Client and Legal requirements.
- Communicating and ensuring all integrated management systems adherence.
- Following and promoting organisational IMS policies and procedures in compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other legal requirements.
- Participating in HSEQ training or other identified training and personal development.
- Establishing standards and procedures to track and measure project's progression.
- Evaluating the designated region, identifying strengths, problem areas, and developing plans for improving performance.
- Evaluating new technology and tools as opportunities for innovation and development.
- Representing the company in a professional manner both on and off the job.
- Ensuring the work environment is always tidy.
- Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and are free from defects.
- Organising and controlling (delivery deadlines) the products to customer’s requirements.
- Interfacing between client and Operations Team to deliver customer requirements.
- Preparing all paperwork and certification required for product completion/sales.
- Constructing relevant equipment work packs, certification packs and equipment files.
- Following all necessary operating procedures and guidelines.
- Sourcing company equipment as required to support the business.
- Assisting in establishing stock control parameters.
- Delivering and collecting as required.
- Ensuring the tracking of all equipment and resources.
- Providing leadership and support of personnel to always deliver a quality team performance in pursuit of company and client objectives.
- Ensuring that all equipment used in support of company operations is fit-for purpose, compliant with client specifications and is correctly certified – and that valid certification is maintained throughout.
- Ensuring working knowledge of all company HSEQ policies and procedures appropriate to the effective management of this area of the business.
- Following company job cards.
- Following company policies and guidelines.
- Keeping workshop timesheets up to date on all jobs.
- Financial and project tracking to ensure all works are completed on time and budgets are met.
Person Specification:
Key Competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training Requirements:
- Supervisory experience in Workshop/Manufacturing environment.
- Time served mechanic with experience in oil gas equipment ie: N2 convertors, fluid pumps.
- Must be able to continue with the on tools role as well as the documentation side.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid passport.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- High degree of technical execution experience.
