NorthBridge Collaboration To Support Professionals Navigating Career Change

2nd August 2026

TMM Recruitment has partnered with NorthBridge to provide free one-to-one CV workshops for individuals facing redundancy, career transition, or uncertainty about their future employment.

Established in response to the significant economic transition taking place across Aberdeen, NorthBridge brings together a network of organisations to provide coordinated, accessible support for people navigating change.

As part of the partnership, TMM Recruitment will deliver personalised CV review sessions, helping professionals strengthen their applications, communicate their value effectively and better position themselves for new job opportunities.

For many people affected by redundancy, today's job market can feel unfamiliar. Some may not have updated their CV or applied for a role in years, having built successful careers through professional networks and referrals. Recruitment processes, changing technology and evolving employer expectations can make job searching feel incredibly overwhelming.

These sessions will deliver practical, constructive feedback to help each individual showcase their skills, achievements and experience in a way that resonates with employers

Colin McKay, recruitment specialist at TMM Recruitment, said: "A CV is often the first opportunity someone has to make an impression with a potential employer, yet many talented professionals haven't needed to update theirs for years. We recognise that redundancy and career uncertainty can significantly impact your confidence, so these sessions will deliver practical, constructive feedback to help each individual showcase their skills, achievements and experience in a way that resonates with employers."

Laura Paterson, Hub Co-ordinator, added: "One of the most important messages we share with people is that redundancy is about a role, and is not in any way a reflection of their personal value, capability or potential. Yet it's natural for confidence to take a knock, particularly now, when there is so much uncertainty around future North Sea developments."

"Many people assume they know how to navigate a job search because they've done it before, but recruitment processes have changed significantly. Technology plays a much bigger role, expectations around CVs continue to evolve, and the lack of feedback during the application process can often leave people feeling invisible. Our role at NorthBridge is to provide holistic support through practical guidance, specialist advice, events and workshops, helping people understand their options and take positive steps towards their next chapter. Working with TMM Recruitment strengthens that support by giving people direct access to expert recruitment insight and personalised advice."

By combining NorthBridge's collaborative support network with TMM Recruitment's expertise in recruitment and career development, the partnership aims to help individuals build confidence, strengthen their employability and successfully navigate the next stage of their careers.

Sessions are scheduled for 27th August and 24th September.
